Wall mounting and free hanging sculptures in the Amplified Felt series are of a new material that seamlessly transforms into a third dimension; The artist capturing the rhythmic underwater life of the textiles as they float and undulate within her hands during the process of creation.

These textiles are felted as a single piece, with ribs of wool bonded together through the lightest of fabrics. While this felt is very dense and finished with sizing to provide rigidity, they are some of the more fragile works in Kristy’s portfolio.
